Renewals
Every electricity and gas supplier requires a termination notice to end your
contract. However different suppliers require a
different notice period to be given. This can be 30 days or sometimes as much as
three months.
Your supplier should send you a
Renewal Notice in writing informing you that your contract is due for renewal and give details of the new prices,
the term of the new contract and a date for you to respond by should you so wish
to cancel the contract. If for any reason this notice does not arrive or is
not acted upon in time, you will be tied into a new contract at an increased
price.
Utilities Direct can help you avoid these problems by contacting you before the
date of your renewal and sort out a better deal for you.
Below is a list of suppliers with their notice requirements. If your current
supplier is not listed then contact us and we will find out for you.
